Labelling it “the perfect combination of power and personality”, Fender have revealed their brand new Adam Clayton Jazz Bass – named after the erstwhile U2 bassist, which looks pretty slick.
It has a custom Sherwood Green finish, to evoke the mid-60’s, and ramps up the vintage feel with a fully-painted headstock and ‘lollipop’ tuning machines. Check it out:
Look how sweet the headstock looks up close:
The new Adam Clayton Jazz Bass guitar features an innovative high-mass bridge, which helps it achieve much better sustain and stability, and the overwound pick-ups help its high-output and articulation.

Here’s what Fender have to say about it:
Throughout the entire phenomenal history of the band, the groundbreaking music of U2 has been underpinned by the gracefully muscular bass work of Adam Clayton. His impeccable groove and expansive tone form the sonic foundation of one of the biggest bands in the history of rock music, never more powerfully than today. Fender’s Adam Clayton Jazz Bass puts his rock-solid sound and style in your hands, with elegant appointments and elemental tone, including two potent Fender Custom Shop pickups and a beautiful Sherwood Green Metallic gloss finish with matching headstock.
